Biography

Tommy Zentner was born in Monroe, Louisiana, and graduated from Neville High School, just like his wife, the former Marion McHenry. He completed his undergraduate studies at Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1979 and obtained his law degree from Louisiana State University in 1982. Until 2001, he was affiliated with an established defense firm. In that year, he joined forces with David Nelson, Will Sartor, and George Snellings to establish their current law practice.

Throughout his career, Tommy has primarily focused on civil litigation, often representing insurance companies and corporate entities. While he finds trial work exhilarating, he consistently advises clients about the potential downsides of litigation: its time-consuming nature, its associated costs, and its inherent unpredictability. Consequently, he encourages pursuing a satisfactory settlement whenever feasible. Indeed, Tommy provides other attorneys and their clients his services as a mediator, and successfully mediated many cases through the years.

In his legal community involvement, Tommy Zentner has served as a past member of the Board of Governors and currently represents the Louisiana State Bar Association on the House of Delegates.
